Monky Tonky was ready with the scissors
It was, of course, Monky Tonky who was asked to cut the red ribbon to the new Lalandia, and he was helped by an eager group of excited children. Once the ribbon was cut, the happy monkey invited everyone inside to enjoy some traditional Danish ‘kagemand’ cake in the beautiful new tropical holiday centre.
The first expectant guests
There was something of an expectant atmosphere as the first guests stepped inside. The tropical holiday centre was quickly buzzing with life and the happy voices of the guests. The new site was thoroughly explored as our guests familiarised themselves with activities such as Sky Rider, the High Jump trampolines and Monky Tonky Land. The shops, cafés and restaurants also received plenty of visitors. There was one experience in particular that most of the guests had particularly been looking forward to: Exploring the 8,000 m2 waterpark.
Huge waterpark – huge enthusiasm
The waterpark, incorporating themes to reflect its location by the North Sea, attracted keen water fans, more cautious swimmers, and plenty in between. The really brave whizzed through the legendary Tornado, which many will already know from Lalandia in Billund and Lalandia in Rødby – while the youngest visitors had fun on the shorter water slides and in the large Aqua Splash Playground. WaveSurf, already a popular activity at Lalandia in Rødby, is also part of the new waterpark, and many guests seized the opportunity to ride on a surfboard under the expert guidance of our employees.
